![]() Click here for information on The Community Disaster Preparedness Program We the Firefighters of the Pine Valley Fire Protection District commit ourselves to be the best in our field, to be the benchmark by which the rest of the volunteer fire service is measured, and to provide the people whom we are sworn to protect, the highest level of fire protection and emergency medical services within our means. The Pine Valley Fire District, located in the mountains of Eastern San Diego County about 45 miles east of the city of San Diego. The District covers 75 square miles serving a population of 2283 in the Unincorporated communities of Pine Valley and Guatay.

Business is conducted from one station (#84) located at 28850 Old Hwy 80 in Pine Valley. The station includes a classroom to seat 20, two offices, sleeping quarters for four, two type 1 engines, a type 2 Rescue Engine, and a Utility truck. The station also houses the San Diego County Sheriffs Sub Station which has five Resident Deputies working out of it. The District provides structural and wildland fire protection, fire prevention and inspection services, as well as rescue medical services. All district Firefighters are EMT/DC and ALS services are provided by AMR with ambulances in Alpine and Campo. ![]() Weekly trainings are held on Thursday nights which all firefighters attend when available. ISO rating of 5 for structures within the Pine Valley Water District 9 in all other areas. Dispatch services are contracted through the Heartland JPA. Water is supplied by the Pine Valley Mutual Water Company with storage over 2.5 million gallons, hydrants spaced every 500' and a flow from each hydrant from 1000-1500 gallons per minute. |
